Vampire ArtVampire Art. Decent fantasy vampire art inspired from the movie "Interview with the Vampire" and the "Vampire Chronicles" by Anne Rice. Vampire fan art, that is.
Vampire Art It has come to my attention that Anne Rice has banned all fan fiction about her vampire books - I really hope this doesn't apply to fan art as well! Here's a pencil drawing of Lestat and Louis, the main vampires of the book "Interview with the Vampire" and the movie with the same title. It may not look like vampire art too much, because I didn't draw the fangs, but let me assure you, it was intentional. Those vampires can conceal their fangs pretty well - at least, Ricean vampires like Lestat and Louis do. The fantasy vampire art took me about an hour to draw and I am pretty much satisfied with the result - it's one of the best drawings in my August 2005 sketch book, which makes the slash fangirl in me happy without really being Lestat and Louis slash. Date of the Vampire Art: August 2005 ![]()
Description of "Vampire Art" This piece of vampire art depicts Lestat and Louis from the books "Interview with the Vampire", "The Vampire Lestat" and the "Queen of the Damned". I know Louis was blonde in the movie, but I decided to go with the book version for my vampire art. I have read some of the later vampire books by Anne Rice, even though I had been advised against it and I must say it was a waste of time, in the same way that reading bad fan fiction is. If you like the characters of the vampires Lestat and Louis, I advise you not to read further because the author decides to change them drastically in the later vampire novels - making it look like ooc fan fiction to readers that have got attached to the main vampire characters. Not to mention that Merrick(-Sue) is boring like hell. Whatever you do, don't read this one! Tale of the Body Thief is all right, I guess, with a nice plot and plenty of vampire action, but the vampire Lestat looked like he was on crack the whole time in the book to me. And I haven't read all the pages of Memnoch the Devil yet because I got disgusted in the middle of it! Oh, yes, about the vampire drawing! Well, it was done in pencil and the pose was grabbed from a doujinshi I found online, that has nothing to do with vampires or Lestat and Louis. I just thought it was a pretty cool pose, and very suitable for vampire art too. I like the hands and the hair of the vampires a lot. Not to mention the 18th century clothing which I find beautiful. Too bad men don't dress like this nowadays and don't tie their hair back with silk black ribbons...
