I had lots of fun doing this picture! For one, it was late in the night and I had got an insane creativity spur. I also got to use my new pencil shader on Scully's clothes, face and hair! The refercen picture is taken from an official X files image which shows Mulder and Scully crouching like ducks. Dana Scully's forehead looked weird in the official picture, so it looks kind of weird here too.

Description of "Dana Scully "
My pencil shader makes me very happy. Now I can get cheeckbones, lips and folds in clothes look good! I really like the character of Dana Scully from the X files, so I got to draw her first. I might do a Mulder picture next to go with Scully (or, even better, with Krycek, but that's the slash fangirl speaking, so ignore me) and actually get to watch more episodes from the TV series, if I can find it on DVD or rent it.
Now, about the Mulder/Krycek fan fiction thing, I am happy to report that, according to the quality of Mulder/Krycek fics I've found so far, fan fiction for this pairing doesn't suck, probably because slash is not the most predominant genre of fan fiction for the X files, which means that the bad fics are almost exclusively reserved for sappy or just plain idiotic Mulder Scully Romance stories. Not that there are no great fics with Mulder and Scully, it's just the too many cooks spoil the broth saying being proved again. It's a very nice change being a slash shipper in a fandom where you're a minority but you can still find very decent fan art and slash fan fiction that contains no character bashing (I'd like to see *anyone* try to bash Scully!).
I hope you enjoyed the picture of Dana Scully, I will make sure to draw Mulder too in the next few days! I am a recently converted x files fan (is than, an x phile) and I want to do some x files fan art to express the love!
