Constantive Movie The movie Constantine (starring Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz and Peter Stormare is one of my favorite movies from all time. I was inspired to draw the picture below from one of the final scenes in the movie and some fan fics I've read.

I am familiar with both incarnations of John Constantine, the scruffy blond Londoner from the Hellblazer comic and the dark New Yorker, as played by Keanu Reeves in the Constantine movie. I like the movie version better. And guess what, I hear Constantine 2 is planned for sometime in the future, and Keanu Reeves will definitely be in it.
*Spoiler alert*
John Constantine got his backside handed to him by pretty much every character in the movie! He did get to hit them back though, I'll give him that. This picture is from a scene where he got smashed into a glass door by archangel Gabriel. It was a pretty intense scene to draw! I was also inspired by some Constantine fan fics I read on lj that deal with dark and bloody themes.
Comments on style
I drew John Constantine with a pencil, using a movie still as a reference and took some liberties with the pose of his hands. (Which is why the pose is not perfect.) Then I used one of my favorite black pens to add weight to some of the lines and a red marker to add the blood.
